Details about how to refer:
If a student reaches out to you in your capacity as their personal librarian and mentions work on a junior paper, thesis, or in-depth subject specific topic, please follow these guidelines for referrals:
- If the student mentions their program/department please respond to the student providing the name/contact of the subject specialist (list available here) and CC the subject specialist.
- If the student does not mention program/department and the topic covers a few different subjects please forward (do not include the student) the email to the subject specialists you think could be of assistance to the student and ask your colleagues to please let you know if/when they respond. This way you can relay to the student proper support is on the way.
